Oily Water Overboard Discharge Monitoring.
A secure and tamperproof monitor and record of all oily water separator related waste storage and disposal functions with inbuilt safety interlocks. This functionality reduces the possibility of an illegal overboard discharge of oily water in violation of the current MARPOL regulations while in a prohibited area.
The benefits cover both the environment and the owner from the heavy fines that can result, since operations are automatically and permanently logged in electronic format to support and protect both the crew and the owner.
Oil Record Book Automation.
Replace manual logs with an automated solution that accurately tracks oil movement on-board. Complies with Port State rules where applicable vessels must have an oil record book to record all oil or sludge transfers and discharges in order for authorities to confirm that a vessel has been operated in conformance with discharge at sea regulations.
Bunker Fuel Stock Monitoring.
Accurately records the bunker fuel oil loaded in port and subsequent usage during the voyage. Cross-referenced against voyage course and distance data, this allows engine fuelling efficiently to be optimised. Additionally, the precise and traceable accounting for stock acts as a powerful deterrent to unauthorised fuel offloading or theft.
Further functionality includes the ability to provide an automatic alert when a vessel approaches low emission zones and then record the type of fuel used referenced against geographic location, so ensuring compliance with areas where NoX and SoX exhaust gas emissions are restricted.
Ballast Water Treatment recording and reporting of activities
Stipulated in the new Ballast Water Treatment regulations is Requirement B-2, for vessels to hold data regarding onboard ballast water movement, treatment and discharge in a record book. This can be in an electronic format, either standalone or integrated into another system. Entries must be maintained onboard for two years and then archived for a further three.
The Ballast Water Treatment module allows crew and onshore personnel to monitor the operation of
ballast water treatment equipment, supported by the simplicity, flexibility and surety of electronic reporting and recording.
